Deciding whether more passing helps you.

Both are optional, and the decision is the same one each time: is my hand better than the average hand at this table right now?

If it is, more passing helps everyone else more than it helps you, and declining is the stronger move. If you are still holding a scattered rack, take every pass you can get.

Note

Declining tells the table your hand is coming together. That is a real cost, and usually a price worth paying.

Reading ahead is fine. The path takes lessons in order, so this one ticks off once you get here.
